Donish ("we", "us") operates the Donish mobile app and website at https://donish.live. This policy explains how we handle personal information.

Information we collect

  • Account data: Telegram ID, username, and password hash when you register via our Telegram bot.
  • Learning data: Uploaded PDFs, extracted text, saved vocabulary, flashcard progress, and quiz statistics.
  • Technical data: Server logs (IP address, request time) for security and rate limiting.
  • Payment data: When you subscribe to Premium, payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store full card numbers.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide the service (PDF processing, translations, vocabulary storage), authenticate you, improve reliability, and process subscriptions. We do not sell your personal data.

PDF processing

PDFs you upload are processed on our servers to extract text (including OCR for scans). Content is stored securely and associated with your account.

Third parties

  • Telegram: For bot registration and authentication flows.
  • OpenAI: For word translation services.
  • Lemon Squeezy: For subscription billing.

Data retention

We retain your account and learning data while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting support@donish.live.
